Wild ~2~

In the morning Brian woke me up. I moaned beneath the covers. I did not want to wake me up but I have a lot of material to learn.

‘Why did you wake me up? It’s early… only 8:00 am.’

‘Dad found scratches on the back door.’

‘Really? Probably because at night a wolf scratching at the door. I saw him when I was to the kitchen for water.’

‘Seriously?’

‘Well, yeah! I saw his outline, but it was definitely big one. Huge dark wolf with glowing amber eyes.’

‘Pretty well you saw him, eh?’

I smiled slightly and sat on the bed. I went down my bare feet on cold wooden floor. The feeling was nice and refreshing. Now I can look at my new room. Huge bed, desk adhered to the wall, a large wardrobe with four smaller tables lower below. There was a small couch with pillows (very colorful pillows), just below the window. The curtains were ivory, neatly folded with a light blue cords. There were no wallpapers, because everything was covered with wood. Under <everything> I mean the whole house. Only if it was the middle of nowhere…

Mom called us. The smell of toast is brought down to my room. I smiled contentedly. Brian chased the room and I picked up with effort the large suitcases and put it on the bed. I opened it and pulled out a black shirt with a depiction of Bugs Bunny and then dressed. The put shorts in navy blue with white stripes removed. I looked at shoes, but I ignore them with a smile. I really liked to go barefoot on the floor. And frankly there was hot. No wonder, it is a summer.

I ran downstairs and I found everyone in the kitchen. Well, almost everyone. On the table were put toasts, jam, freshly brewed mint tea and orange juice. I do not like it much. There is such… a tart taste. So I took a bottle of cranberry juice. Naturally, my brother now enjoy on the breakfast. Mom had pulled her laptop and wrote something. I sat next to my brother.

‘Where is Daddy?’

‘Still deals with the traces of your wolf.’ Brian said, while swallow another bite.

‘It is not my wolf. Just happened to be there at the same time.’

He chuckled, because his attempt to irritate me was successful.

‘I cannot believe it. The first night. Can you imagine, Liss?’

Dad rushed into the kitchen very excited by what happened. Breathe of happiness. I do not understand what is so amazing. Well, my father just like all scientists was a little… eccentric. Mom just looked him over her glasses and smiled warmly.

‘Calm down, Jerry! Sit down and eat.’

He listened her, but could not keep sitting for more than five minutes. He grabs a slice and a cup of tea and went to his office. I suspect that this is not his first coming here, because his office was ordered. But I only smiled at his behavior. But I must admit that I like this place too. Does it mean that I am like him? I would not say. Although the beast impressed me. What audacity. Or maybe he was not aware that here have people. I could not tell, though it is a wolf.
